About Lebanon United Methodist Church
Lebanon United Methodist Church has long been a spiritual home for individuals and families across Dinwiddie County, Petersburg, and Southern Chesterfield County. Our church is a place where tradition meets heartfelt worship, and where all are welcome to grow in faith, serve others, and build lasting connections. We are more than a building — we are a Christ-centered community with a heart for ministry and outreach.
Our mission is simple: Love God and Love People.
Through worship services, Sunday School, small groups, and outreach partnerships, we seek to live out our faith every day. From ongoing missions like food pantry donations and school partnerships, to community events like our monthly Cruise-In, Lebanon UMC is actively engaged in making a positive impact both inside and outside our sanctuary.
Meet Our Pastor
Rev. Brian E. Posey
Rev. Brian E. Posey serves as the pastor of Lebanon UMC with dedication, warmth, and a deep love for ministry. An Elder in full connection with the Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, he was ordained in 2019. Pastor Brian earned his B.A. in History from Longwood College in 2001 and later received his Master of Divinity from Eastern Mennonite University in 2010. Before entering ministry, he worked in historic preservation in Prince William County. He and his wife Kara have been married for 21 years and are parents to Madison, and guardians of Willow and Greyson. Pastor Brian’s leadership reflects his commitment to both spiritual growth and community outreach.
